Judas Iscariot is the disciple who betrayed Jesus with a kiss. There is little indication of his motive except for the thirty pieces of silver paid him that he tried to give back, calling it blood money. We know he was the keeper of the group purse and seems to have been known to pilfer it upon occasion. It is to his discredit that he turned himself over to evil having spent three years as a disciple of Jesus.
Judas Iscariot, after betraying Jesus, felt great remorse and in an act of supreme cowardice hung himself just outside Jerusalem.
